Dear Mets: Scott Hairston is not a cleanup hitter. Love, everybody.

The Mets lineup on Saturday was Angel Pagan, Justin Turner, Willie Harris, Daniel Murphy, Jason Bay, Ronny Paulino, Nick Evans, Ruben Tejada and Jon Niese. If that lineup doesn't strike fear into the rest of MLB I don't know what will.

No wonder this organization has been an abortion for the last 6 years. Delgado, Floyd and Piazza were the last legitimate clean up hitters.

I've been watching the Mets since '05, so this quiz was right up my alley. Not sure why they had 48 year old Julio Franco hitting cleanup though.

How apropos. I was at Citi Field just a couple days ago and I too laughed at Hairston batting cleanup. Then he went out, drove in 5 runs and clubbed a monster homer into the second deck.
