	@caramba: I believe Temple is an informal term for the gurdwara, although I might be wrong. If more people ask I'll accept it. @lalalala: Hmmm...I've never heard of a Jewish temple. I typed it into wikipedia and all I found were 2 temples that were destroyed hundreds of years ago. Every source I've checked says its a synagogue.

	I've always heard Jewish people say they're going to temple. I don't think it's formally called that, but I guess it's a lot easier than saying synagogue all the time. I don't think I'd accept it here though, considering you could probably make a case for calling most of these temples.

	Only Reform Jews go to "temple." More conservative Jews find calling a synagogue a temple offensive, as the only real temples in Judaism are the aforementioned two temples in Jerusalem.

	Modern Judaism = The Synagogue - Judaism before 70 AD was centred around The Temple but since 70 AD you could not say that - so Synagogue is the correct answer today.

	Jewish people talk about "going to temple" on Friday and holidays, the same way I would say I am "going to church." No one ever ever ever says "going to synagogue." I live in New York and most people I know are conservative Jews.

	Synagogue and temple should both be acceptable answers for Judaism. And @folio1701, I have never met a Conservative/Orthodox Jew who was OFFENDED that I said I was going to temple. @Jam1, I was ready to give 4 stars, and assume you just didn't know that Jews call it a temple (my current place of worship's official name? Temple Israel. Other local ones: Temple B'nai Shalom, and Temple Beth Emeth), but your complete disregard for the idea that someone might know more than you and Wikipedia do (also? the WIki page on "Synagogue" HAS A PICTURE OF TEMPLE EMANU-EL) has dropped the rating to 2 stars. Not ready for publication.
