Pretty sure the Rhine does not flow through Italy...

You are correct. It has been removed.

And the Danube doesn't flow through Bulgaria. A couple of its tributaries are in Bulgaria, notably the Osam, but the main river is on the other side of Romania. Very good quiz! I actually finished with 1 second to go, so made for a nail biting finish! :D

The Danube passes right between Bulgaria and Romania. The border is almost determined by it.

Didnt they recently find that the Nile originates in Rwanda?

@Neostinker: It depends. There is a river in Rwanda that flows into Lake Victoria, then the Nile which flows out of the other end of Lake Victoria. Somepeople count the Rwandan river as the true source, some people count the Lake. For the quiz, I've counted the source of the Nile as the Lake itself.

Nice! If you want to do some fiddly updating, it might be neat to list countries in the order they appear on the river instead of alphabetically...

@joebobs: I also finished with 0:01 on the clock, after a frantic flurry of southern African countries — the timing on this one is absolutely perfect! Awesome quiz :-)

It would be great if you could list the countries in order instead of alphabetically, but it's still an excellent quiz either way.

Very nice choice of rivers. :) Challenging, but all rivers I'd heard of.

Perfect quiz, very original. I mean this in a good way, not to brag but it was one of the first hard geography quizzes I got a 100% on. Very well structured and interesting choice, some I hadn't heard of could be guessed by process of elimination as well. 5 globes/nominated.

The Blue Nile flows through Ethiopia, but the main branch of the Nile does not. Putting Ethiopia in is like saying the Mississippi river flows through Pennsylvania because the Ohio does.

Very fun quiz, I was daunted by it at first, but once you get a few countries, you can work on figuring the rest out. Good amount of time for the quiz, didn't get them all, but wasn't frustrated and had fun. Great job!

@midlifecrisis: Yes, it is similar, but mine has many rivers yours dosen't include, similarly yours has rivers mine doesn't include. They both also have a different format- on mine you are given the rivers, but on yours you have to work that out.

The southern border of Moldova is located at the confluence of the Prut and Danube, so you can't say the Danube passes "through" it.

Wow, I managed to get 55 out of 54 on this quiz! Either you've deleted an answer since last time I played, or I have developed super-sporcle powers! :D

18 minutes after ConcreteEskimo's comment, it shot up to 2.3 %. I had no idea that many people were on Sporcle in just 20 minutes; and those are just the ones who remembered South Sudan.

Not quite enough time for me. I'm not interested in speed (am a slow typist), just like to see if I can complete the quiz.
