| For fun, you can include Poland as a bonus answer. They have an Arctic research base on Svalbard, due to the bizarre laws governing Spitsbergen. Under the terms of the Treaty of Spitsbergen, it officially belongs to Norway, but any country can claim any part of it. Norway, Russia, and Poland all have staked claims to various territories on Svalbard, although Poland's is only a research base (but it is staffed year-round).
