| I'm with Matty. A "y" makes the same sound, no matter where it is, close to a long "e" sound (but not quite). This is like saying "o" is a consonant if it begins a word and a vowel when it doesn't. I also consider "w" to be a vowel (long "u" sound), so take this whole post with as many grains of salt as you like (unless you're on a low-sodium diet). |
