| bsd987 is right in saying Gibraltar is not integral to the UK. It is a territory and from the title of this quiz (which only mentions countries not territories of countries) Gibraltar should not be included. The UK consists solely of Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Wales, therefore none of the UK is on the Mediterranean and it should not appear in this quiz. However if this quiz specified the inclusion of territories anywhere in its description, the inclusion of Gibraltar under the UK would be perfectly justified. Alternatively you could call it countries and territories of the Mediterranean Sea, which would allow for the inclusion of Gibraltar by its own right. The answer in this case would be better written as - Gibraltar (UK). I'd rather Gibraltar remain in this quiz, because it is an interesting addition and often overlooked. |
