If "Rio" is good enough for the answer, the quiz is good enough for me!

This quiz is one of the best on sporcle, well done! Good idea, good source. The only thing you could improve is the layout.

OK, glad I'm not the only one secretly pleased that 'Rio' was sufficient.

Great quiz. Would be interesting for the GDP values to have a column as well.

Very good quiz, however, you should accept 'New Delhi' for Delhi, and perhaps I had a typo and missed it, but I thought I put 'Sao Paulo' and it didn't accept it because you have it with an accented 'a'. Very good quiz though! Should be published.

@joebobs: New Delhi and Delhi are not the same thing.

Uhm... I'd make it clear "in the World." But that's just me. I guess I'm the only one it was a problem for.

OP here @Masternachos and @geographun: I will add it, though I believe that having the country listed after the city would have indicated that not all of them were from the USA. If they had all been from the USA I wouldn't have included it as it would've been superfluous.

Surprised at no Dubai, German or Italian cities.

Check out that NY-LA-Chi trio in a row. Three's now a crowd in this case.

I appreciate that you've made your source clear, but I've had a read through and I feel there must be some problems with PWC's methodology if Dar es Salaam makes their list of 151 cities with a GDP of $8bn, while Frankfurt am Main doesn't make it (presumably because it is not one of the top 100 most populated urban agglomerations or predicted to be so by 2025 using UN predictions - which seems a fairly unusual way to pick cities to compare economic data for), despite being one of the richest cities in Europe. That doesn't detract from this being an enjoyable and challenging quiz though!

Great quiz. Challenging, yet I was satisfied with the amount I had correct. Also, very pleased Minneapolis is one of these cities. REPRESENT!

Wow, America dominates this list. I`m surprised cities like Dubai, Milan, Frankfurt and Berlin didn`t make the list.

The methodology is for city limits, not the larger definitions like MSAs. Still...USA FTW

Rome and Berlin were the most surprising no-shows. Good quiz.

The source has an interesting explanation for lack of German or Italian cities: "this reflects the fact that countries like Germany and Italy (which only became unified nation states in the 19th century) have several major cities that are medium-sized in global terms, rather than one dominant capital city as in the UK or France."

That's precisely the reason, for Germany even more so than for Italy.
