	I love geography quizzes, but these country quizzes centered on letters of the alphabet are getting old. I don't expect everyone to agree with me. Vote me down, that's fine. But I would like to see more creative country quizzes on the front page.

	@kekort2: Sporcle uses the unofficial, common name for quizzes like this. Which is "United Kingdom." There's no earthly way that a quiz like this would work if we were using official country names. RepuBlic of China, RepuBlic of Tunisia, Togolese RepuBlic, etc ... Instead of name "B" countries, you'd end up with "name most of the countries in the world." The rest of us (the ones voting down these comments) can't understand why so many of you can't comprehend this.

	Can you accept rep congo for Republic of the Congo, since that abbreviation is used in other country quizzes.

	I second Xolotl123's comment. If 'DRC', 'CAR', etc. are accepted for the respective countries then not to accept 'Rep Congo' makes no sense. Also, on a personal note, how is it possible that the only two countries I missed BEGIN with B?! :/

	Always amazes me how many of the countries I end up missing I actually say in my head and skip right by. Yemen, nope, Oman, nope, UAE, nope, Saudi Arabia, nope. Double fail.

	Actually, it is Burma at this point in time. As far as I know, "Myanmar" was preferred by the military junta in power up until last year. It has now reverted back to Burma.

	I get that you can't include the full names of everything or you'd get too many countries ("Republic of ..."). But then that makes it weird that you do use and require the full official names of just a few.

	@blahedo Not so. I think you're referring to the two Congos in particular, yes? According to Sporcle standard usage those two countries' long-form and short-form names are one and the same (it has to be like that – theoretically each could be known as 'Congo', but then there wouldn't be a distinction between them). So it's not unreasonable to require the long-form names for those countries.
