| Thanks, Tahnan! I ludicrous-number-of-times-checked my typing, but that didn't help unearth the fact that I hadn't typed those ones at all! I would remove the parenthetical suffixes, but then it may be unclear exactly which derived forms are allowed -- for example, 'mammogram' is occasionally used as a verb, but it isn't listed as a verb in my word lists. Of course, typing any natural inflection of 'mammogram' would normally entail typing 'mammogram' first, so it wouldn't be a problem in this case, but I'm still concerned about words whose very base forms change when inflecting (e.g. cycle -> cycling). Is there a best of both worlds? |
