| Good that you quoted a source, and not wishing to undermine the CIA (you never know who's listening) the UK Counties are wrong at least for Scotland. Aberdeenshire, Angus, Argyll and Ayrshire are historic areas that despite much political interference have remained in common use, however Aberdeenshire is now Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City, Angus remains relatively unchanged, Argyllshire is now Argyll and Bute, and Ayrshire split between North, South and East (no West!) http://www.oultwood.com/localgov/countries/scotland.php |
