	i knew it was going to be a low amount of wins team. for some reason boise state didnt cross my mind. might as well be 1aa.... oh wait fcs or whatever it is. pretty good quiz though.

	Boise has been I-A/FBS for 21 years, and I think that that is plenty of time to prove themselves. If Western Kentucky had come out last year and went undefeated in their first FBS season, I probably would have included them also.

	No, you genius, it's not 'plenty of time to prove themselves'. They DO NOT QUALIFY, just as someone who plays 20 games doesn't qualify for the batting title. Check the actual universally accepted numbers on this - it's between ND and Michigan and will be for some time.

	Also, I love your acting like 21 years is a long time. I mean if we pick the best 21 year stretch of any of the real top schools, guess what - they're gonna blow Boise out of the water. What that small number of years does is skew the numbers horribly, because they've been a dominant program in their small pond for a great percentage of those mere 21 years. A great 10 year stretch, with only 21 total years, and voila, they're in first. The other teams have been doing it for a hundred years, against each other, and other top schools. This quiz is nonsense.

	I never said that Boise St was a better team than any other, this quiz only shows that for as long as they have been FCS, they have had a better winning pct. nothing else.

	2009 Strength of Schedule rank: Boise - 38 Michigan - 90 ND - 13 Texas - 56 Oklahoma - 45 OSU - 35 USC - 11 Nebraska - 37 Alabama - 26 That's comparable or better than most teams on the list for Boise.

	Not sure where you're getting that SOS ranking. Saragin has BSU as 54th, and Reese has them 117th. Saragrin's rankings are pre-season. Here is BSU's schedule: #16 Oregon, Miami (OH),@ Fresno State, @ Bowling Green, UC Davis, @ Tulsa, @ Hawaii, San Jose State, @ Louisiana Tech, Idaho, @ Utah State, Nevada, New Mexico State. Seriously, that's a joke. And to suggest Michigan's schedule is 90th ??? Facing Notre Dame, @ Iowa, @ Michigan State, Penn State, Ohio State, @ Wisconsin. I know there's some cupcake games (Delaware St and Eastern Michigan) but seriously...Michigan's schedule is tenfold more difficult than Boise's. Same holds true for the rest of the teams on the list. Don't get me wrong, I love Boise St. Beating OU will forever be one of the great moments in College Football history. But to suggest they play a tough schedule...is laughable.

	I was using Sagarin, which actually changes every week; but I had misunderstood them, I had thought before that they included teams yet to be played, but they do not, so by playing Hawaii, they lost 15 spots in this past week. Also, I don't beieve that beating OU was all that impressive...sure the hook and ladder/Statue of Liberty was awesome, but BSU was a much better team that year, and OU doesn't ever win BCS games...but I digress...

	Though my SOS post was a bit misleading, it was my overarching point that regardless of schedule, BSU has won over 75% of their games. Teams in the MAC or Sun Belt play far worse schedules, but none of them has managed that level of success. It may be easy to win playing NM state and La Tech every year, but Fresno, Idaho, Nevada, Hawaii, SJ St, and Utah St play them every year also; shouldn't they also have ridiculously inflated schedule?

	But you can't disregard schedule. One of the greatest weaknesses of the BCS - among many - is that it's taken out the strength of schedule component. This has led to a good, not great Boise team (I think even Boise fans would admit this isn't their best team) that started off highly ranked, being able to coast after they beat the one legit team they played. I wouldn't be surprised if the pollsters collude late in the season to keep them out. And it's not just Boise, either - taking out the SOS component has also led to awful non-conference scheduling by most top teams. In your latter post you don't seem to understand the point people are making. That Boise is far and away better, year in year out, than the rest of their conference, is indisputable. But what's also indisputable is that in the SEC or Big 12, and probably even in the Big 10 and ACC (not sure about the Big East...), they're going to lose 3+ games a year every year. But the SOS isn't even the issue here. The issue here is, the NCAA does not recognize Boise as having the best winning %, because they simply haven't played enough games. And frankly, if the NCAA ever does decide they've played enough games to be thus recognized, if they have not at some point switched to a better conference, no one will think it legitimate. But then, if they switch to a better conference, they won't be in first. So.

	Notre Dame doesn't play in a conference to begin with, gets all their big games at home, and plays the military academies every year. Yet no one thinks twice about them.

	Notre Dame annually plays a schedule equivalent or better to a major conference schedule. Your post is ignorant pandering to the anti-ND contingent. And no they don't 'get all their big games at home', that's patent nonsense. It's an outright lie. They alternate venue with USC and Michigan every single year. You're a liar or an idiot. Pick one.

	Also, they relatively rarely play Army or Air Force, and as for the Navy series: "Notre Dame, like many colleges, faced severe financial difficulties during World War II. The US Navy made Notre Dame a training center and paid enough for usage of the facilities, with federal tax money, to keep the University afloat. Notre Dame has since extended an open invitation for Navy to play the Irish in football and considers the game annual repayment on a debt of honor." You're bashing that? You're scum.
