| Thank you for the observation. There's no need to see the answer box while you're providing answers--you only need to see where you're typing and the image. I can see that, for a VERY small screen, there's a very small amount of scrolling involved (for maybe one row that's not fully visible). On my mid-sized screen (and, I imagine, on almost everyone else's screens), I can scroll to a point where I can see the answer box and ALL the flags in their entirety. Unfortunately, without making a smaller, harder-to-distinguish image, there's not really a much better way to do a quiz like this with the limited user (non-admin) controls. ----------------------------------------- I just looked at the quiz you refer to by 1447. It's here: http://www.sporcle.com/games/1447/flags_nonsovereign ... You must be joking to say that my quiz has scrolling problems when 1447's quiz is a nightmare for scrolling problems, AND its image is cut off on the right side, so you can't even see 20% of the flags. Furthermore, 1447's quiz is a mish-mash of partially-recognized nations, differing levels of administrative divisions of countries, totally non-recognized countries, disputed countries, uninhabited regions, highly unofficial flags, flags that are not the most widely used for a region, and miscellaneous. I think my series of quizzes adds something unique to Sporcle that has not been done thoroughly and thoughtfully. With the limited tools for presenting images, a quiz maker can't do much better. As for randomization, I think that only those who would take a quiz like this one time only and never come back to it and never intend to actually learn the material better MIGHT complain about it. I imagine that your opinion about randomization would put you in an extremely small minority. |
