| @Colmar: Good question. Even though Diego Garcia is BIOT's capital according to Wikipedia, there is no citation for that information. Furthermore, the CIA World Factbook does not list any capital for BIOT. BIOT has no population other than on Diego Garcia--not to mention that the only population on Diego Garcia consists of non-permanently assigned military personnel and civilians immediately related to or supporting them and their mission. Thus, there's no one to govern in the traditional sense and there are no government offices that even resemble a capital of a territory. Nonetheless, some sources do list Diego Garcia as the capital and there are some government (British) offices and personnel there. So, it seems that both "none" and "Diego Garcia" are fair answers. |
