	This quiz's latter answers are proof that Time eventually just got lazy and started just picking presidents every year. Though, to be fair, Reagan's 1980 MOTY award was just a makeup for getting robbed in 1951 for "Bedtime for Bonzo."

	1 out of five stars. Way too many errors for a quiz that only has 12 listed answers. This quiz proves the wisdom of listing a "source" with a quiz (as Sporcle does 99% of the time). Lacking access to the quizmaker's source, it's hard to say whether the quizmaker got things right or not. However, coelho4187 has pointed out one big error. Another error: I do believe that America's longest-serving President was selected by TIME in multiple years. (Also, as a side comment, I think the winners from 1950 and 2003 are similar enough to deserve to be a bonus answer at the very least.)

	I would also think that "The American Fighting-Man" with an alternative answer of "The American Soldier" should be accepted, as they are both really the same person and won in 1950 and 2003 respectively.

	@jonburla: It wasn't always that way. Historically there have been plenty of anti-American winners, such as Stalin, Hitler, Yuri Andropov, Ayatollah Khomeni, and so on. It's only a relatively recent turn of events spurred on by what I can only describe as the "outrage" crowd that have stopped Time from being able to declare such winners. For example, it's generally recognised that Time considered Osama Bin Laden to be the clear Man of the Year for 2001, by virtue of his being the person who clearly affected the world more than anyone else (being the definition of "Man of the Year"). However, they were threatened with boycotts by so many readers and advertisers that they had no choice but to make Giuliani win.

	@ whomever: thanks for making the corrections. I changed my rating to four out of five. But if someone could put in a comment explaining how it got published in the first place with those errors (in answer to GobBluth), that would be informative. @ AK_WDB: If you type "Dwight Eisenhower" and it's not accepted, just delete the "Dwight" part; usually works for me tho I didn't try it on this quiz.

	@Plasma: Okay yeah thanks for bringing that up, that restores some credibility to the magazine in my eyes. But going by the answers to the quiz I think I had a pretty valid point. Even Stalin fits in this category at the time he won the awards.

	Thanks for comments, @Eliot, there is a lot that goes into deciding what gets published. To be honest, we didn't correct all that much. The dates were wrong (typo on my part I added them to the quiz) Deng was an oversight, and the american soldier has always been a bonus answer on this, not sure why it wasn't coming up if people tried it. As for why it got published, well...we liked it. It is historical, interesting (if not somewhat trivial) data, and seemed a good compliment to naming a bunch of cartoons. Mistakes sometimes happen in quizzes, so we babysit them and make corrections...even in the wee hours of a Monday morning. Hope that helps.

	@the_cgould: Every time Harry S. Truman comes up in a Sporcle quiz, somebody thinks they're being clever by pointing out that there shouldn't be a period after the S. 	I suppose you could argue that any Person of the Year who was also alive in 2006 (when the person of the year was "You") would have technically been chosen twice. I will not argue that point (because it's stupid), but one certainly could.

	Wow, this thing went through some paces before I got to it, huh? It's true, Time never intended this to be a benediction, in fact, I screwed up Deng on here, and could kick myself twice, because when he got it in '85 and not Bob Geldof, I screamed bloody murder. Then I was reminded how the people are chosen.

	Seconding what AtoneMENT said: being named Person of the Year is not necessarily an honor. TIME's description is a person, thing, etc. that "for better or for worse, ...has done the most to influence the events of the year." That influence can certainly be a negative one, as evidenced by the appearance of Stalin and Hitler.

	Honestly, this really is a quiz that is "Guess as many famous leaders in the world from World War II on" I think this quiz wasn't what Sporcle intended it to be. Its more of a guessing game...I would really like a source though...

	I actually liked this quiz, for a switch. The only thing I wanted to point out was that Harry Truman actually had no middle name - it's just an "S" - so it shouldn't have a period after it. Minor details.
