Good quiz...I like the misleading name of it! You had me getting po'd that irt was going to be some lame politcal statement...pleasantly surprised to see what it really was! Maybe could knock a minute off but it is ok at 3 I think...

@Hikergal, I think you should make the quiz two minutes. Also, rearrange the order of the presidents so that they're not in chronological order. It will make it more challenging.

Okay...down to 2 minutes, and the answers are rearranged. Thanks for playing!

I thought the time was perfect, actually. The very few that I did get, I got, and the others I would never have gotten.

Nice! Like midnightdj, I thought this was going to be a dumb, pointless, partisan quiz. Talk about a pleasant surprise.

I'm in the same boat as midnightdj and hscer. Thought this was going to be a lame partisan hate fest and then actually chuckled out loud when I saw the full description. Great job!

Nice. I got all the rest pretty easily, then came within four seconds of missing... Abraham Lincoln. Sporcle has rotted my brain.

My first thought was like others, that I was about to see a partisan hate fest. In fact, I don't think we really have ever had an unpatriotic president, even though I have disagreed strongly with some of them. So this is the only type of quiz I would accept that term with. Good quiz.

I also thought that this was going to be a partisan hate fest, and I was pleasantly surprised. I should have done better than I did. Exellent quiz!

@sobdennis: I would say the closest thing we've ever had to an unpatriotic president was former VP Aaron Burr, who in addition to shooting Alexander Hamilton dead while vice president, also tried to lead an overthrow of the government and foster secessionist movements. Whenever I would get pissed off at Dick Cheney as VP I would just think about Aaron Burr and realize things really aren't so bad, after all.

A few people in Florida thought of this qualification for patriotism, and that's how Bush beat Gore in 2000.

@sobdennis: Our 10th President was a delegate to the Provisional Confederate Congress and elected to the Confederate House of Representatives (although he died before taking office), so he might rank up there with JohnJF's suggestion of Aaron Burr.

I'm pretty sure calling Abraham Lincoln unpatriotic is going to get Sporcle on some sort of CIA watch list.

Last time I checked, that snake-like letter between the n and the o was an "S", so Johnson should not be on this list. Great fun- best two minutes I spent today. Congrats, Hikergal, on your first publication!

hmm, so presidents without U,S, or A in their name have about a 25% chance of being assassinated, whereas presidents with U,S, or A in their name have about a 3% chance. coincidence or some subconscious freudian assassin stuff?

@ZapRowsDower actually obama and lincoln are patriotic because they don't show up, I wish they would accept last names only but that would mean altering the list, either way 5 oracles for this quiz, although it seems all the published ones get 5 with me :)

Not only the assassinations, but Nixon resigned and Clinton was impeached. You may also add blame Hoover for the great depression, and I believe Millard Fillmore is considered the worst president (according to the Daily Show's America:The Book). Spooky.

@redpegasus - Hoover was not the reason for great depression. he was elected with high expectations; he was very intelligent, and he was a rich folk. he was choosen to be elected for this reasons. many people thought that Hoover could do something at that time. but unfortunatly he was elected too late before he could of done anything to stop the depression.

ShadowGamer, Hoover for his time was considered so 'brilliant' that the British Government wanted him to join their Cabinet . Americans have taken about 20 years to get into this mess and it can't be fixed in two years or even 10. The problem will be if the GOP get their policies through the recovery will take even longer. The bail out of Wall St was unfortunately necessary and about the only thing that Bush did in his presidency that stopped the country and the world from a rapid return to the 1930's . The USA is hardly a democracy at this stage anyway . Only 40% of voters bothered to cast their vote ? 60% stayed in bed or could'nt be bothered ? Not good for the USA or the world .
