| Ok - I may get lots of dings for this, but I'm assuming like everyone else here - I love Sporcle. It provides a great distraction in my otherwise busy/stressful life (though a great life it is!). But though I'm a bright person, my age (senior moments galore + lousy finger dexterity) means I often don't do that well on quizzes... Well, so what - someone has to be in the bottom third! However, what sometimes bothers me are the people who feel the need to write about how they got 100% with minutes left, standing on their head, typing with their toes... Ok, being a bit sarcastic - but you get my drift. I'd just like to see a bit more sensitivity from those who seem to have tremendous mastery, towards those who don't. No one likes to feel stupid. The thing is, it's fun reading the comments, but when I stumble on one that's over-the-top boastful - it can kinda sting (silly I know, like I should care, but such is the human condition). Hope no offense is taken - I'm just airing my thoughts - free country and all (not talking Kyrgyzstan here)! |
