dan brown is such a good guilty pleasure. my creative writing professor hated on him like crazy, with good reason, but still they are fun mindless preoccupations, much like television but at least you're using your brain.

Missed Digital Fortress even though I've read it. Probably because I loaned it to my mom two years ago and never got it back...

You should be rewarded for typing the same novel repeatedly, as Brown has been doing for the past decade.

I don't know what you are saying. Dan Brown is an awesome author and you are probably saying these things about him because you are too dumb to understand his writing.

The writing isn't fantastic, but Dan Brown knows how to tell a good story. I just started the new book this weekend and it isn't bad.

5/5. I don't know why everyone hates Dan Brown. I liked Digital Fortress. But maybe I'm just stupid. Yes, that's probably it.

I don't get the hate for Dan Brown. Nothing wrong with a little guilty pleasure. He's like the Michael Bay of literature (and how many of you saw Transformers? Come on.) I have to say, though, I couldn't get through the Lost Symbol. Not very good at all.

I feel ashamed for knowing 4/5 of these. Incidentally, I don't think Brown is as bad as people say he is, but he's still not good. I view him like I view Stephanie Meyer: bad writing that is inexplicably popular. There are many, many worse writers out there who (thankfully) haven't achieved the same level of success.
