	A couple of people have done this the other way around (giving you the name of the actor and asking you to list the movies that IMDB has for them) but this seemed more fun to me. I tried to get a good balance between some obvious ones some medium difficult ones and some more obscure ones. I did have to abbreviate a few movie titles to fit them in. Should I do more?

	Very good quiz I'd like to see more. Always wondered how they work out there 'most known for'. I've never even heard of that last Sean Penn film. I'd have never guessed Kung Fu Panda to be one of Dustin Hoffman's most known for films either given all the classics he's been in.

	Umm... Sam Worthington's fourth movie is "Texas Killing Fields," which is a very different movie from "The Killing Fields," which came out in 1984, 16 years before Worthington's film debut, and was about Cambodia.

	Great concept--I'd play more. As to IMDB's "most known for" algorithm, it is obviously possible for a TV show to make the list (see George Clooney). This being the case, how is it remotely possible that "Coach" is not one of the things Craig T. Nelson is most known for?

	I was really surprised that Dead Man Walking and I Am Sam weren't in the films for Sean Penn, especially Dead Man Walking. Those are the first two I think of for him.

	A little research goes a long way. From the IMDB FAQ; The "Best Known For" title is automatically chosen among his/her credits through a complex weighting system. Every credit in their filmography is assigned a "weight" based on a series of factors. These may include: -The job performed on the title (a credit as director will have more weight than a credit as production assistant). -The frequency of credits for a particular job in the context of the person's filmography (writing credits may have more weight for someone who is more frequently credited as a writer than as a producer) -The type of title (a credit for a theatrical feature has a different weight than a credit for a short film or a TV series) -The popularity of the title (this takes into consideration the number of hits/page views, the average user rating, any awards won by the title and several other indicators) -The relative importance of the credit among similar ones for the same title (for example an acting credit for someone who received top billing will weigh more than an acting credit for a cameo appearance; a single writing credit on a film will weigh more than a credit shared with several other writers, etc.) So there you have it. Not sure it makes complete sense to me yet when applied to individual cases, but at least it appears there is some method behind the madness.

	@ Hejman: I didn't doubt there was some method to their madness. And I was confident you correctly recorded Nelson's "most known for." But I definitely think their system needs more work. I mean, no Harry Potter for Richard Harris? Sweeney Todd outranks Pirates of the Caribbean for Johnny Depp? King Kong over High Fidelity for Jack Black? Saw over Robin Hood Men in Tights for Cary Elwes? No Arrested Development for Michael Cera? If they really want to judge "most known for," they should be having people vote or else should use google search results in a sophisticated way.
