Make sure you read the first two questions in the Episode IV section in the whiniest voice possible. :)

Jobal Naberrie from the AOTC extended edition is his maternal grandmother.
Sep 3rd, 2010 at 04:24 GMT
Well, see, I've already learned something new today, and it's only 12:20 A.M. I figured I should stick with what's in the movies, though.

Happy quiz! And hilarious url--so true. :) Could you possibly accept the established letter-spellings of the droids' names (Artoo (Detoo) and (See) Threepio)? That's how I automatically spell them... Also, maybe specify second Death Star, even if you still accept just "Death Star".

"You're a little short for a stormtrooper aren't you?" *ultra-camp voice* "Huh? Oh, the UNIFORM!" :D
Sep 3rd, 2010 at 11:46 GMT
@ezazahaz- Will do. That thought flashed across my mind at some point during the quiz making process and then escaped me. @WeaselKing1000- that line never made sense to me until I saw Ep. II and then it finally clicked- all the clones would be the same height and so Luke would be too short. Somehow, I doubt Lucas planned it that well in advance.

Maybe accept Kenobi and Chewie. Battlefront really helped for the planets here ^^
Sep 3rd, 2010 at 14:39 GMT
I tried about every spelling of "Shmi" and "Dack" except for the right ones
Sep 3rd, 2010 at 15:01 GMT
@Xala83- I thought I had "Chewie" in there but only had "Chewy". I also had Ben, Obi Wan, Ben Kenobi and Obi Wan Kenobi but not just Kenobi on it's own. They've been added.

"NO!! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!" Second most whiney thing that has ever come out of Luke's mouth.

i didn't think luke/dak tripped any at-ats, just suggested it?
Sep 3rd, 2010 at 20:46 GMT
You know, I think you're right, bmcelwee- I guess I'll be watching Empire tonight to make sure!
Sep 3rd, 2010 at 21:17 GMT
Excellent quiz. The power converters line is a classic.
Sep 3rd, 2010 at 22:07 GMT
Wedge and his copilot Janson tripped the AT-AT. Luke just killed one with his light saber and some grenades.
Sep 3rd, 2010 at 22:24 GMT
Dangit. Tripped up by the spelling of Tosche Station and Dack. I could have sworn I had a comic book adaptation of Empire that spelled it Dak. Ah well. Awesome quiz.
Sep 3rd, 2010 at 23:02 GMT
Please accept Sarlacc.
Sep 3rd, 2010 at 23:50 GMT
Please accept "Darth Sidious" for Emperor Palpatine. Otherwise, fantastic quiz! More!
Sep 3rd, 2010 at 23:54 GMT
Accept Sarlaac (or however you spell it) for Carkoon
Sep 4th, 2010 at 00:15 GMT
Either say Great Pit of ____ (Carkoon) or accept sarlacc. I kept thinking I was spelling sarlacc wrong.
Sep 4th, 2010 at 01:15 GMT
Absolutely should have Darth Sidious in there- and will add it ASAP. Will also add alternative spellings for Dack. I specifically worded the pit question so that Carkoon was the answer (Sarlaac was the beast, not the pit) but there's no point in being ridiculous about it- I'll just accept both. Thanks for the great suggestions- as always!
Sep 5th, 2010 at 14:16 GMT
The last question is a little vague. The only reason I got it was because of the track title on the original CD soundtrack release.
Sep 7th, 2010 at 00:53 GMT
Couldn't for the life of me spell "Millennium Falcon"! ;-) Good quiz!

Could you maybe also accept Queen Amidala for Luke's grandmother?
Sep 7th, 2010 at 05:36 GMT
@CalebT- Queen Amidala isn't Luke's grandmother, she's his mother (and the answer is accepted for that). Shmi Skywalker is Luke's grandmother.
Sep 8th, 2010 at 22:55 GMT
Damn. Missed his aunt. Maybe it's beacuse she says three lines then got roasted.
Sep 8th, 2010 at 23:19 GMT
It's the Pit of Carkoon. Not the Pit of Sarlaac. Sarlaac is therefore not a correct answer.

If you have never heard of the 'John Williams tribute' by Moosebutter, then now is the time you should. 'I was going down to Tooooscheeeeeee - station for power conveeerteeeeeers'. It's brilliant! http://www.moosebutter.com/lyrics.php/star-wars

@Golden, that was awesome! Thank you for that.

Ackbar - that's what I remember their names from - "Uncle Owen! Aunt Beru!"

Major kudos for accepting a lot of bad spelling answers. One of the better quizzes I have played.
Apr 26th, 2011 at 16:28 GMT
Thanks, Pranktice. I usually insist on correct spellings, but some of these answers are kind of obscure (I had look up the spelling on several of them) and I wanted the quiz to be fun, not to be a spelling test. I've tried, also, to anticipate as many alternate answers as I could but am certainly open to suggestions for more.

Tow Cable should also accept rope or wire.
Apr 26th, 2011 at 16:35 GMT
Argh... Carkoon!!!! Couldn't figure out why it wasn't taking Sarlac, but now I realize that was the creature in the pit. Excellent quiz though, nice mix of the obvious and the obscure.
Apr 26th, 2011 at 16:37 GMT
I thought I would try this quiz even though I didn't know all the answers. Then I heard a voice say, "Try not. Do, or do not. There is no try."
Apr 26th, 2011 at 16:46 GMT
Rope and cable have been added. I already had four different spellings of Sarlaac in there, but not 'Sarlac', which I've added.
Apr 26th, 2011 at 16:52 GMT
how about degoba without the 'h'?
Apr 26th, 2011 at 16:53 GMT
great quiz, but I could have used a little help on the spelling of the station that he goes to to pick up the...you know. Maybe accept a few more spellings.
