| Actually, Kermit appeared frequently on both the Muppets and Sesame Street and, in fact, was one of the original Sesame Street Muppets. He was a regular in the first several seasons of the show and then continued to appear periodically until 2001. He then took a hiatus (probably because of the change in ownership of the Muppet rights to Disney) and appeared again at the start of Sesame Street's 40th season in 2009. He debuted the famous song 'Bein Green' on Sesame Street. In my youth, in the late 70s and early 80s, I recall him as the host of Sesame Street News. (In fact, to this day, when I imitate Kermit's voice for my own kids, I utter the line, 'This is Kermit the Frog, reporting live for Sesame Street News!') |
