For those who aren't familiar, Top Gear is the world's #1 car-related television program. About to enter it's 19th series (for my fellow Americans- a British 'series' is not the same as an American 'season', but is generally 6-10 episodes), the show airs in the United States on BBC America and has spun off into shows in Australia, Russia, South Korea and, for the last two years, the United States. The first 16 series are available on Netflix.
If you haven't seen Top Gear, you're really missing out. I can give the show no better praise than this: my wife is not a car person. As long as it runs well and is comfortable, she's happy. But she loves Top Gear. She will frequently watch it even if I'm not around. And if you can make a car show that my wife likes, well... then you've accomplished something.
On each episode, Top Gear has a guest star. After a brief interview about what they're doing, what they drive and what cars they've owned in the past, we see them driving a normal sedan around a test track- Top Gear's famous "Star in a Reasonably Priced Car" segment. The pictures above are all from those segments.

Brilliant! Disappointed in myself for failing to recognize Ramsay, but I'm going to let it go due to the wild-hair-hiding helmet.

Terrific idea for a quiz, Hejman
Jan 23rd, 2013 at 21:10 GMT
Very nice. It was snowing when I took this quiz. Do I get to add 4 places to my score?
Jan 23rd, 2013 at 23:38 GMT
Dammit, I should've recognized Jeff Goldblum as Rupert Ruxin, especially since even though I KNEW it wasn't Nick Kroll (Rodney Ruxin) it looked like him a little bit.

Hejman, glad to see you included Gambon in the quiz because, well, it wouldn't be complete without him.
Jan 25th, 2013 at 23:15 GMT
Love it, although it would be nice if you accepted Rich Tea for Lionel Richie. I think that is how he is credited on the leaderboard.

Some say that his junior prom date was a 1967 Cadillac Fleetwood... and that he'll never get the "Around the World" badge because he thinks Belgium is fictional... all we know is, he's called the Stig!

eddie izzard looks a lot like carson daly

Great quiz, can't believe I didn't get Matt Le Blanc considering I watched that episode a couple of days ago

Can't believe I missed Michael Gambon! They only mention his corner every week... silly me
Apr 20th, 2013 at 04:07 GMT
he will always be Jean-Luc Picard to me

Usain Bolt needs no car to go fast.

Marky Mark looks like he's about to lose his lunch.

Gordon Ramsay looks just like Mika Salo.

Tom Cruise - "Why Lord Xenu? *tears* Why?"

Patrick Stewart looks like he dont give a ****

I didn't recognise Gambon at first. Then I realised that there is absolutely no way he could be omitted from this quiz -- it had to be him.
Apr 20th, 2013 at 08:06 GMT
I wonder if slightly fewer people would have got the chefs Ramsay and Oliver correct if they weren't next to each other?
Apr 20th, 2013 at 08:44 GMT
It would have been nice to have had the "Well Spoken Man" included, to see how many recognise him. I still have no idea.

"Number One - engage warp. This is too slow." Really - the Shakespearan actor does carry himself quite well. (All the while Usain Bolt thinks of getting out to get faster)

I think there's a reason my fingers refused to spell "Gordon" correctly, instead going for "gorgon" every time! :P

I missed Michael Gambon, Mark Wahlberg and Ryan Reynolds, but to be fair they look nothing like themselves on these shots. I was absolutely convinced Mark Wahlberg was Danny Dyer and spent about a minute thinking of different ways to spell his name, aha.
Apr 20th, 2013 at 10:35 GMT
Simon Pegg - Can't...hold...on...much...longer...
Apr 20th, 2013 at 11:02 GMT
To be fair, I also tried Danny Dyer for Marky Mark - but only because I couldn't remember Stephen Graham's name. Honestly, I spent at least a minute trying to think of his name "It's that one... the Scouser...Stephen something... from 'This is England'... he plays Al Capone on 'Boardwalk Empire'... what's his name?" "Mark Wahlberg?"

Ryan Reynolds' face when squished looks surprisingly like Luke Wilson.

@BallpointBanana It's Prince Harry's dad
Apr 20th, 2013 at 12:22 GMT
Great quiz! Love that you started with Gambon
Apr 20th, 2013 at 12:25 GMT
I might have gotten Eddie Izzard if he'd been wearing make-up.
Apr 20th, 2013 at 13:29 GMT
very pleased to see 'Rich Tea' is an accepted answer!
Apr 20th, 2013 at 13:58 GMT
Tough one. I thought Simon Cowell was Antonio Banderas, Eddie Izzard was Johnny Knoxville, and Hugh Grant was Phil Mickelson.
Apr 20th, 2013 at 15:12 GMT
I was convinced Ryan Reynolds was Nicolas Cage!!!
Apr 20th, 2013 at 15:43 GMT
@supernat - That was exactly what I thought! Awesome quiz!
Apr 20th, 2013 at 16:06 GMT
I loved this quiz! Rupert Grint looks like a total boy racer, Gambon looks awfully like Michael Parkinson & wore a tie (!) and then there are the pics that just crack me up: Simon Pegg, Eddie Izzard, Jeff Goldblum & Rowan Atkinson
Apr 20th, 2013 at 17:02 GMT
Since when was Grint old enough to drive? And since we had Gambon and Grint, maybe add Radcliffe next time :) Nice quiz!
Apr 20th, 2013 at 18:44 GMT
I don't think Radcliffe has been on there yet.
Apr 20th, 2013 at 19:54 GMT
This is surely the only quiz where you'll find all these people together. 5 Sporcles.

Finally, a picture of Rowan Atkinson that doesn't make me feel all icky like I do't like the guy. He seems like such a jerk in all the movies and TV shows. I can't stand Mr. Bean and such.
Apr 20th, 2013 at 22:24 GMT
@Supernat, I thought he looked like Steve Carell!
