	The Lion and the Mouse is a Aesop fable, these are Mother Goose nursery rhymes. The Lion and the Unicorn comes from the union of England and Scotland (the lion and unicorn being their respective animal symbols). The nursery rhyme has been around for about 400 years and, as @slamb mentions, was prominently mentioned in works by Carroll and George Orwell. Considering that there are five answers above 90%, I thought there needed to be one genuinely hard one.

	despite being on the "wrong" side of the pond, I knew "The Lion and the Unicorn." However, I could not get my mind past 'dumpkin' as the answer for "Diddle, diddle,..." I do NOT want to know what a dumpkin might be, but I blame that accursed Peter Peter pumpkin eater.

	I haven't heard of a lot of these. I've taken a similar quiz before, which is how I knew some of the more "obscure" answers. I have a huge book of Mother Goose nursery rhymes at home... I need to find that and study for these quizzes :)

	why did i guess wardrobe, when the witch part was missing?? wowww, my brains messed up, but apparently im not the only one if you made a bonus for it... I'm with some of the others about not knowing a lot of the more obscure ones, but fun nontheless and it definitely took me back in years
