Pity you can't add Francis Ford Coppola The Godfather, but Bob Fosse won that year for Cabaret.

"For example, for the 1929 winner you would type 'Frank Lloyd The Divine Lady'."
Maybe you would. I doubt I ever would. |

@rockgolf- There are 19 winners with two word movie titles, so I think I'll do a two word version (though it still won't include the Godfather!). @Tahnan- You can see why I left that one off.

@Hejman, fun quiz! Leo McCarey is misspelled.

Would it be better if the correct answer was the initials (FLTDL as per your example) instead of the Director’s name?

@georgieburgess- The correct answer is all of the words typed in order. If you're asking whether it would be better to display the initials, I'd say that's a six of one/half dozen of the other situation. It would be better in that it would take up less space, but worse in that it would harder to track the correct answers across the board.

I liked it when the answers seemed to describe the directors or tell a little story. Like, "There goes Steven Spielberg, saving Private Ryan." Or "John Ford, the quiet man."

The instructions state to name the actor, character and movie - should obviously be director and movie...
