In two instances, the map groups language families. For those language families, the quiz displays the family but accepts the individual language names as well.

@Dmasny- That should have been triggered by 'Danish' (as well as Finnish, Swedish and Norwegian). It's fixed now.

Should be Tagalog, not Tagalong!

@trivial, the joke in the comments only works because of the 'n', but the quiz accepts the correct language name "Tagalog".

What this shows us is that Spanish is the US's second language with anything else a far distant third.

Surprising to me that Hawaiian is not represented here. Have we westerners managed to obliterate yet another culture? *hangs head*

I was trying to figure out each one individually, based on the geographical distribution, and didn't notice how short the time was. It might make for a more interesting challenge, and a more effective use of the map, to increase the time limit and have us answer in order.

@Q_Pheevr- I was originally going to do that, but the problem with answering in order is that the quiz highlights the box that you're on in yellow, thereby obliterating the color coding in the box and making it impossible to figure out which color you're supposed to be guessing.

Ah, right. That makes sense.
Maybe someday it'll be possible to have custom background colours for the hints and not just for the answers.
