| @tk925- George W. was raised in Midland, went to high school in Houston, was commissioned in the Texas Air National Guard, was a two-term Governor of Texas and, since leaving the White House has lived in Crawford, Texas but doesn't count as a Texan? George H.W. Bush was commissioned into the U.S. Naval Reserve in Corpus Christi, has maintained a residence in Texas since 1948, was a Congressman from Texas from 1966-1970, was Chairman of the 1st National Bank in Houston, was a professor at Rice University in Houston, has his presidential library in College Station, Texas and continues to reside in Houston- but he doesn't count either? My goodness, Texas has some strange requirements to be considered a Texan. |
