May 2nd, 2011 at 01:31 GMT
Good catch, Icicle- thanks!

You spelled Bulgarian wrong
May 2nd, 2011 at 15:51 GMT
@WAG- Please send me an invoice for your proofreading work!
May 8th, 2011 at 21:42 GMT
I kept typing "number twelve grimmauld place"... you should accept that
May 8th, 2011 at 21:43 GMT
Also it should be "Its HQ" instead of "It's HQ"
May 8th, 2011 at 22:16 GMT
Goot call, kororaa- I have 12 and twelve but not with the word 'number' in front of it.
May 13th, 2011 at 21:05 GMT
Year 7 - Inherits, not Inherets.
May 15th, 2011 at 00:35 GMT
Year 6: "including a ring that belonged to him" wasn't the best clue ever. Grammatically speaking, "him" refers to "Riddle", so it took me a long time to figure out what it was asking me. Perhaps "including a ring that belonged to this man" instead? Otherwise, fantastic quiz! I LOVED that you put Xenophilius Lovegood in there. :) What can I say? Big Luna fan!
May 15th, 2011 at 01:23 GMT
@Leakeygirl- Done in by my antecedents. It's fixed, using the exact wording you suggested. Thanks!
May 16th, 2011 at 01:48 GMT
you should allow xenophilius aswell as lovegood for an answer! just because its fun to spell..
May 16th, 2011 at 02:12 GMT
@laura089- His full name was accepted, but I've added just his first name as well.
May 19th, 2011 at 20:49 GMT
The locket was stolen twice. First time by Regulus Black.
May 19th, 2011 at 21:03 GMT
True, but not in year 7. I'll add Regulus as an alternate.
May 21st, 2011 at 19:20 GMT
thanks for taking regulus as an answer...i would have never got mundungus...both part 1 and 2 are very fun well done
May 24th, 2011 at 09:38 GMT
Loved both halves of this. Your Harry Potter quizzes are all awesome--thank you!
Jun 1st, 2011 at 22:03 GMT
For some reason it wouldn't accept Regulus when I typed it in... I thought R.A.B would make a nice alternative for this answer too :)
Jun 2nd, 2011 at 03:06 GMT
@Lulu- It wouldn't accept "Regulus" because Regulus isn't an answer to any of the questions on the quiz!
Jun 2nd, 2011 at 12:49 GMT
@Hejman ahh OK, must have misread the comments - oops!
Jun 2nd, 2011 at 14:09 GMT
Oh no, you're right! I said I would add Regulus as an alternate answer to a question and then forgot to do it. It's added now. Sorry about the confusion.
Jun 2nd, 2011 at 18:49 GMT
Again, great! 5 globes :)
Jun 30th, 2011 at 17:35 GMT
harry actually only learned that there were 6 horcruxes. he didn't know that he was the 7'th.
Jul 12th, 2011 at 13:28 GMT
I forgot that the thing that picks contestants for the triwizard cup is called the Goblet of Fire...despite the fact that THAT'S THE NAME OF THE BOOK. *facepalm* Great quizzes though!
Jul 12th, 2011 at 16:17 GMT
I second brichards. Harry thought at first there were seven horcruxes but dumbledore explained that to split one's soul into 7 parts requires 6 horcruxes as the 7th remains in the body.
Jul 12th, 2011 at 19:29 GMT
@metagloria: Well, you're not on your own there... *facepalm*

Given that it's a magical world and all, for a split second on the Daily Prophet clue I was imagining an actual piece of paper that literally attacked Harry, and I was confused. :-)

Also "ultimate" doesn't sound right... the final duel in the book would not be described by some superlative word.... the duel lasted like 2 lines while harry talked for like 2 pages
Jul 13th, 2011 at 05:11 GMT
@bromonster: "Ultimate" is indeed an appropriate word choice. One of the definitions of "ultimate" is last, final, or conclusive.
Jul 13th, 2011 at 05:43 GMT
@caliheralaska I was about to write the exact same comment. :]
Jul 13th, 2011 at 05:57 GMT
When answering "Dark Wizards enter school using this" I seriously considered putting "the vents" Don't ask me where that came from
Jul 13th, 2011 at 06:20 GMT
@luna_lovegood1: Same here! lol
Jul 13th, 2011 at 06:39 GMT
Actually, in the 6th book Harry learned that Voldemort had made six horcruxes. He (Harry) was actually the seventh, which he didn't find out about until the end of the seventh book.
Jul 13th, 2011 at 07:22 GMT
100% on both Harry Potter quizzes today. I seriously need a life.
Jul 13th, 2011 at 09:22 GMT
whoa the daily prophet clue threw me for a while. could you change it to newspaper maybe? cause i was thinking of howlers, otherwise five globes :)

@RS89: Ring, diary, cup, locket, diadem, Nagini. Then the piece still inside Voldemort. Harry was the inadvertent eighth piece.
Jul 13th, 2011 at 13:01 GMT
The last answer for each of the four years: "Dementor, Bellatrix Lestrange, Avada Kedavra, Voldemort." I'm seeing a pattern. :)
Jul 13th, 2011 at 13:05 GMT
I still get a little thrill whenever I imagine Neville killing that snake and then yelling "DUMBLDORE'S ARMY!"
Jul 13th, 2011 at 13:46 GMT
I agree about the Daily Prophet clue. I had no idea what you were referring to.
