Personally, I'm looking forward to the Harry Potter quarters series to get the Phoenix and the Hippogriff.

Except for "eagle", I was blindly guessing... another area of trivia that I need to brush up on, I guess.

@bcflorida- Riko has it. The Puerto Rican quarter (2012) has a parrot on it.

I saw the quiz title/instructions and though "yeah, this will be a short quiz with two answers- eagle and buffalo." Guess I haven't paid enough attention to US coins .

@geome12- Mallard on the Arkansas state quarter, 2003. @chriskotx- As I said in the archived comments, I'm waiting for the Harry Potter quarter series so I can add to the list: hippogriff, kelpie, manticore, phoenix, acromantula, pixie, thestral, grindylow, dragon...

How awesome would it be if we had hippogriffs on our quarters?

@plaidgot- I completely saw the bird and missed the gator climbing up out of the water. I have replaced that selection on the quiz. Great catch!

Just to clarify from earlier comments, it's the El Yunque America the Beautiful quarter that has the parrot on it. The straight "Puerto Rico quarter" is a 2009 issue (with no animals).
