| It wouldn't make sense for Coke or Pepsi, but could you accept just Barq's for the Diet Barq's? |
 | Hejman: | Sep 4th, 2012 at 04:08 GMT | | 7 points |
| @hscer- The cans are very similar and regular Barq's isn't on the quiz so it's a great suggestion- consider it done. |
 | hscer: | Sep 4th, 2012 at 04:19 GMT | | 4 points |
Thanks for the change. I actually did think the cans were identical but for the word "Diet" when I commented, but I stand corrected. |

| I am loving all of the root beers. Does anyone remember Ramblin' Root Beer from the 80s and maybe before that?...Good stuff. Fun quiz Hejman. |

| I miss some of the soda's that are gone or no longer relevant like Nehi and Crush which both were very big at one time. Radar drank Grape Nehi and the Broncos had the Orange Crush defense. 7-UP also had a cola named Like that didn't last very long. |

| Crush is still very much around. |

| There are root beers on the right, I can easily see their name. |
 | Hejman: | Sep 4th, 2012 at 23:42 GMT | | 8 points |
| @ChicagoGuy88- What you can see are the words "root beer", which I intentionally left. Their names are completely gone and you need to guess them. Are the words "root beer" a nice little hint to narrow things down for you? Sure they are, and I meant them to be. |

| One thing = that's the pre-2011 Mello Yello. They went back to the retro 70s/80s style can in 2011 |
 | Pogues: | Sep 8th, 2012 at 05:36 GMT | | 3 points |
| Uuummm....that Diet Coke can is...well...it's basically an aluminum can. Every image I can find has some type of swish or swirl or something to the right of the words. I think that can needs to be improved...drastically. |

| @gloucster: Ramblin' Root beer was incredible and I can still almost taste it today. I'd also love a Hires, which I found on Amazon but at at $34 for a 12-pack. @purplebackpack89: I kept trying Surge for that one and never even thought of trying Mello-Yello. |
 | Hejman: | Sep 12th, 2012 at 18:34 GMT | | 4 points |
| Ramblin was Coca-Cola's root beer product until it bought out Barq's in 1995. Hires has had a somewhat torturous route after being a family owned business for close a century. It has been owned by Crush and Cadbury and was bought four years ago by Dr. Pepper/Snapple. Dr. Pepper's website actually has a product locator to help you find a location where you can purchase Hires. |

| I am still baffled by the fact that in some spots of the US, every one of these drinks could be referred to as a "Coke" (as opposed to soda or pop that are used much more often). |
 | _Firefly_: | Sep 25th, 2012 at 05:19 GMT | | 46 points |
| I agree with pogues. Every can of Diet Coke I've ever seen either had the little white bubbles or the wavy white stripe going vertically along the can. You might consider updating that pic. |
 | dumbgai: | Sep 25th, 2012 at 06:21 GMT | | 27 points |
| The Diet Coke can shown could be just about anything, if you stripped enough text/graphics off. Google image search shows that most Diet Coke cans have a similar swirl to the one seen on the regular Coke can here. |
