As I noted in the sports version of this quiz, I picked a single day and just entered "Bobblehead" as the search term on Ebay. There were 476 pages. I figured I'd go through 50 or so and then just couldn't stop because I was laughing so hard. All of the photos here were taken by the people selling these various bobbles on Ebay. I may yet do entertainment or fictional character versions of this quiz in the coming months.

What browser are you using sprocloid? I tested this in IE, Firefox and Chrome and it worked fine in all three. If anyone else has trouble seeing it, please let me know what browser you're using and whether you're on a mac or pc.

I love the fact that Kim Jong Il looks like Roy Orbison with Prince Charles' ears and yet all the talk is about Princess Di. Also, someone needs to tell #7 that if he doesn't shave soon, the species are going to be originating in his beard.

IE 7 on a PC. Happens with all picture quizzes for me; I have to cut my own down in size by 20% as I have heard others have this problem.

Personally I don't really see the link between political figures and historical figures; I didn't even bother trying Beethoven or Bach because I just didn't realise that they would be paired with Obama and Palin... Or maybe that's just me...

Also, does anyone think no. 16 looks like David Letterman without glasses imitating Nixon?

@buckleppin- I thought Lee was a bit obscure and so left just a tiny bit of the bobblehead box in the corner of the photo hoping that the bit of the Confederate flag would serve as a clue to who the person was.

@caramba- thanks for the technical info, image size is now reduced. If anyone is still having trouble, please let me know. @Masternachos- Ernesto 'Che' Guevara/Che Guevara/Guevara/El Che are all accepted. I didn't accept "Che" on it's own because I always try to avoid abbreviations that prevent someone from typing the full answer. I find it really annoying if the answer to a question is, say, "Cleveland" and typing "Cle" gives me the answer because I always look back at the screen and have "veland" left in the answer box. @brianyankees- my thoughts exactly. Or Kim Jong Il for that matter. Is there an "Axis of Evil" bobblehead set?

Kim Jong Il I can almost understand someone buying because he is a hilarious looking dude and was parodied in Team America, despite what a horrible piece of trash he is as an actual person. But Bin Laden is taking the lulz to another level.

yeah scratching ben franklin and putting in bin laden seems odd to me. Plus I can understand one composer, but two? Would have liked to see a Stalin or Lenin or Mao (no i'm not a communist) or Hitler instead.

@Troublemaker- Keep in mind these are the bobbles that were for sale on Ebay. I didn't hand pick them, they came to me. There were no Stalin, Lenin, Mao or Hitler bobbles there.

Not a complaint, but an interesting observation about the Sporcle ratings system. This quiz was up for about 18 hours and had been rated 41 times. It's overall rating was 4.71 at that point. In the last 25 minutes, it's been rated 11 more times and the rating has fallen to 4.06. That's a lot of ones. Weird.

I've redone the image yet again in an attempt to make it visible to everyone and easier to see. The pattern is modeled off of the great system that lupin uses for his image quizzes. The images are a tiny bit smaller, but they're centered, better aligned and the numbers are larger and under them, which compresses the overall width of the image. I'd greatly appreciate any feedback on whether this look is better.

@hejman: it happens all the time, once you get on the top rated list, there are people voting your stuff off the list. On the one hand, it's helpful because it means there's actually turnover on the highest rated list. On the other hand, it sure seems like it's people giving votes they don't actually mean because they want their things on there.

@tk925- Oh, it's happened to me on just about every quiz I've ever contributed, just never that blatantly before. It appeared as though someone with multiple accounts was rating, logging into a different account and rating over and over again. Honestly, I'm much more concerned about whether people are able to see all the images now. How about an entertainment version of this quiz???

Hejman, yes it happens all the time, someone with one or two close quizzes to highest rated will vote theirs up on multiple accounts, then vote yours down, and then someone else does it to theirs etc etc. It's lame. I think a "movies" one and a "music" one should be done seperately to answer your question, if you can find enough specimens for each
