| Have to say, I am not much a fan of using non-standard variations on peoples' names in order to make them seem more like they belong in the other category. In my view, Babe Ruth should be identified with his usual name, or else not used for the quiz. And he certainly shouldn't be George Ruth; if the "Babe" nickname is not going to be used, then he should be George Herman Ruth. Similarly, John Paul Stevens was never, ever known as J.P., Anthony Kennedy is not known as Tony, and so forth. It just seems inaccurate and inconsistent to me (since most people on the list were identified in their usual fashion). |
