Hey Hejman - I'm not seeing any "snippets" come up. Sounds like a good idea though!

@Geo1- from Merriam-Webster: snip·pet: noun ˈsni-pət: a small part, piece, or thing.

What an awesome quiz. When does part 2 come out and will it be harder? :D Hope so.

Working on part 2 now, Manitopiaaa- give me a week or two. I would have put more images in this one, but I wanted to be able to make them large enough to see.

Great idea for a quiz. Two suggestions: Include numbers in the image, so that we can more easily see which answer goes with which map; and require the answers to be guessed in order (otherwise it's too easy to just guess a bunch of major cities).

Another great quiz Hejman, and good selection of images. One thing, with 12, it's not a city, so perhaps it'd be better to say 'location' or something in the title, rather than city. Still, 5 globes.

Joebobs- NF is a city in New York and a city in Ontario. I should know, I grew up on the U.S. side.

Seems a bit out dated, the MCI Center has been called the Verizon Center since 2006. :/

Excellent idea, very clever and well done. It was interesting that Atlanta was placed right next to Salt Lake, with a locale called 'Tabernacle' and references to the Olympics, both of which might lead one to think that that is SLC. By the way, as you have included NYC as an option for New York City, I would suggest adding SLCfor Salt Lake. Many of us here just call it SLC.

Love it, it's quite hard for me as a European, but I still got 7 answers. I'm proud to have guessed Niagara Falls and Honolulu. Got SLC because of the church :)

Any chance you could at least accept a "Be more specific" bonus hint for Niagara Falls? I typed Buffalo because I was thinking of major cities near the Canadian border. I know the city of Buffalo is not right on the border but I kind of figured the surrounding areas would be included with it. I understand if you can't, just a suggestion, good quiz all around.

@joebobs- nothing to be sorry about; after all, isn't Sporcle all about learning those little tidbits of information?! @thejazzkickazz- I'll add SLC (I didn't know the locals called it that, which makes that my little tidbit of information learned).

Ugh, that's a head-slapping 'duh' on my part, dragynbob. Washington was the last city I added (to round out to a 4x4, 16 city image) and in my haste I forgot about the city/district unification. It's added now.

Nice quiz - never having been to the US in my life I thought I was going to be completely flummoxed, but as it is there are enough clues for even me to get a few.

great quiz, and excellent job of picking maps with famous locations, landmarks, or streets. it was challenging to look for something that identified each city, but very possible to get them all

@mdobb21- The challenge for me in picking the images is to find a small part of the city map that isn't too obvious, but gives some clue to the the location. Honestly, that's just as challenging and enjoyable a puzzle as I hope taking the quiz has turned out to be. @waitzsauce- Sorry, but Buffalo is NOT more accurate. That image shows none of Buffalo. If I accept Buffalo then I would have to accept Oakland for San Fran and St. Paul for Minneapolis, etc. The towns of Tonawanda, North Tonawanda and Grand Island (where I grew up) lie between Buffalo and Niagara Falls.

Technically the Las Vegas one is in the unincorporated community of Paradise. Might be good to include that as an alternate.

The Hawaiian one reminds me of when my wife and I rented a car with GPS on the big island. Turn left on KAma HAma Hey highway. I'm pretty sure that's "Ka-may-uh-may-uh."
