How I didn't get the first one even with Chewie standing right there, I don't know. Wow. Just...wow. I enjoyed the quiz though, even if it did make me feel stupid.

That's what I get for being alive when Star Wars came out in 1977. For me it's always going to be just "Star Wars" and, if it's necessary to number them then it must be number one, right? Wrong. Thanks for catching that- it's fixed now!

That last scene in Brokeback Mountain makes me cry every time, but what a beautiful film.

Is it just me, or does that scene from "The Sound of Music" look a lot like one from "The Fellowship of the Ring"?

What a great movie that would make: "The Fellowship of Music" in which four hobbits, a dwarf, an elf, a wizard, a man and Gollum get whipped into shape by Julie Andrews and win an Austrian music festival before escaping over the Alps and destroying the One Ring in Switzerland. On second thought... maybe not.

I'm surprised that A Nightmare on Elm St. is the least guessed. Nice to see Fargo in there.

If you make another one of these, include the last shot of Brazil and/or City Lights because those are two iconic shots in my opinion. Also, if those two are in the prequels to this and I just can't find them, that's good too.

@hahobigshot- the quiz asks for the last shot that plays before the credits run. That IS the last shot before the credits. I think you're referring to Matthew Broderick coming back at the end in his robe and telling everyone in the theater to go home- but that doesn't fit the instructions above because it's after the credits.

You do not accept the Mandarin title, 'Wo hu cang long,' for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. In my opinion, this should be fixed, but do as you will.

@cthulhu- Ah, but if I accept the pinyin title for Crouching Tiger, do I also need to accept the Croatian title for The Sound of Music (Moje pjesme, moji snovi) or the Swedish title for Gone with the Wind (Borta med vinden)???

I myself can't be sure, bur if the were originally released as such prior to English language release, I'm not sure how neglecting either would be wrong. I'm thinking anyone who knows any of the original titles would forget the character names anyway.

Nice job on this quiz! All of your "Parting Shot" quizzes have been great. On this one, I somehow got two correct by guessing for a particular image and then finding out that the movie goes with a different one- it may help to force players to go one at a time and guess each one individually. But it's fine (and fun) the way it is. And also, hilarious response to Turkey. It always comes from people who are too lazy to contribute quizzes themselves.

@giveupyet- I intended to require them in order, but I guess I neglected to check the box. As to Turkey's comment, I think he was joking.

Thanks, chatakat. I'm always looking for a nice bell curve in the quiz results- a few easy ones, a few really hard ones and a gradation of everything else in the middle. I know that when I'm taking quizzes I like them challenge me and make me think and learn something new, but I don't want them to be too easy or completely impossible.

Actually, "The Simpsons", "Simpsons Movie" and about half a dozen variations of the Star Wars title (including "A New Hope") have been accepted since the quiz was published. As for the consecutives, the grouping was actually intentional- a bit of a hint for those who might have been stuck on them.

I was for a moment pretty proud of myself for getting A Nightmare on Elm Street and Brokeback Mountain, but then I realised I was stupid enough to keep putting Schindler's List into the Citizen Kane one and not even consider the correct one... :S

@Greg: I think it's quite clever the way the quizmaker has done that... I'd never thought before how Spielberg used the very similar ending shots for both Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan.

That's not the parting shot for The Simpsons Movie. The parting shot features Bart laughing at Homer as he tears up the shingles.

@UndeadChimp- I'll have to pop the DVD in later and make sure, but I believe the scene you're referring to with Bart and Homer comes after the credits roll and the one shown here is the last scene before the credits, which is what the quiz says it will show you.

Fun quiz. Thank you for not making us identify the movie from the secondary titles. Off topic: Citizen Kane - Completely over rated
