See, the Romney and Perry pictures look very similar, but if you look closer, you see that Romney's really going for it--really getting in there. Perry, however, looks pained--his lips hovering hestitantly above the child's dark-brown hairpiece. Then again, Perry's child seems to share the uncertainty, whereas Romney's is more preoccupied with what looks like a miniature pair of blue plastic nunchucks. ... I forget where I was going with all of this. Well, great quiz, Hejman!

No wonder I lost the election. I kissed hands and shook babies!
Jan 21st, 2012 at 05:57 GMT
Also, somebody should wipe the santorum off that 4th baby.

The Bush, Biden and Perry pics just speak for themselves.
Jan 21st, 2012 at 16:24 GMT
The baby Obama is holding must be really ugly judging by his reaction.

@rockgolf- Thus the url of the quiz.

LMAO at Obama's face!

I think the best pics, independent of my opinions of the canditates are: 1. Bachmann 2. Paul 3. Edwards 4. Dole 5. Giuliani 6. Obama 7. (3 way tie) Santorum, Dean, and Huckabee.

Oh man. Obama and Dubya win the quiz for those facial expressions.

Obama is holding a black baby.... Coincidence

@STLCARD: Hardly. Biden & Bill Clinton are also seen with non-white children. No black babies at Republican rallies? Of course not! Half the GOP candidates want to put them to work as school janitors!
Jan 25th, 2012 at 17:41 GMT
@rockgolf Come on! Let's keep the petty political sniping out of this. It's a good quiz with a great batch of photos and there are plenty of places on the web where I have to put up with snide, partisan commentary. Sporcle is nice in that it stays away from that, generally.

You've got to love those miserable/unhappy/terrified/shocked baby faces, it seems they are all too perceptive.
Jan 25th, 2012 at 20:45 GMT
The 'W' picture is my favorite. It was taken in Trinwillershagen, Germany in 2006 by Reuters photographer Jim Bourg. I love it because it means different things to different people. If you're not a fan of Bush then it shows him as a clown. If you like him then it shows an endearing and human side to him. I think those pictures that can mean different things to different people are always fascinating.

These poor babies have been scarred for life.

Edwards and Paul look the most natural. I'm not sure what it means that Clinton's the only one holding twins.
Jan 26th, 2012 at 12:52 GMT
debbie: Well, it makes sense that Ron Paul would look natural with babies. After all, he is an OB/GYN.
Jan 27th, 2012 at 07:11 GMT
The youth really do love Ron Paul.

This is a fun quiz but . . . . . . Palin's never officially been a presidential candidate.
Jan 28th, 2012 at 19:56 GMT
@TreehuggnCowgirl- She was never a declared candidate, but it could easily be argued that she's been campaigning since 2008.
Jan 29th, 2012 at 01:46 GMT
One thing for sure you can't become a president in the 2000s without a crazy baby picture.
Jan 29th, 2012 at 23:56 GMT
Kerry looks like he's about to snap that baby in half with his beak.
Jan 30th, 2012 at 10:32 GMT
no offence to the quizmaker but this made me want to puke!
Jan 30th, 2012 at 13:35 GMT
@PurppuraSuihku- Imagine how those babies feel!

Giuliani's going after that kid in full vampire mode --- I wouldn't let a baby anywhere near that undead spectre. And you've gotta love Obama's "Whatchu talkin' bout Willis?!" face -- naturally Sporcle uses a picture of our president holding a black baby (Biden, too ;O)...Oh, and Santorum's gonna be really pissed when he finds out that little tyke is gay.
Feb 3rd, 2012 at 05:39 GMT
@DTNelson & ske_kc- Sarah Palin has never been a declared candidate, but let's be honest, she's been campaigning since the day after the 2008 election. She stated in April that she wouldn't bother to form an exploratory committee and said as recently as late December that it wasn't too late to change her mind and run- even after she said in October that she definitely wasn't running. In light of that, it didn't seem too huge a stretch to include her. @DashDixon- I'm not sure what your 'naturally' comment intends to imply. I can assure you that the pictures I picked were simply the ones I could find and certainly weren't chosen because of anybody's race. The Obama one got used because of the hilarious face he's making and the Biden one I chose because I thought it looked like the baby was trying to rip his bottom lip off and it was a funny picture. As far as I can tell, Sporcle's political affiliation is to poke fun at everyone.

@DashDixon: I rarely see a comment that is likely to offend such a broad range of people. So, uh, well done, I guess.
Feb 3rd, 2012 at 06:21 GMT
The kid in the first picture must have been very intuitive
Feb 3rd, 2012 at 06:31 GMT
It took me a minute to get the 4th picture in the 2nd row; all my brain kept screaming was "YeeeHAW!"
Feb 3rd, 2012 at 07:17 GMT
"Then we're gonna hug this baby with a mohawk...YEAAGH!!!"
