| @NotThere- The typo on Attlee is fixed. As for Austria, it's an interesting conundrum. Was Austria technically 'occupied' militarily by German forces? No, it was annexed in the Anschluss prior to the start of the war. Still, it was, prior to the rise of the Nazi party in Germany an independent nation that, as a result of Nazi action was controlled by Germany from 1938 until the collapse of the Reich in 1945. While I agree that it was not, technically, 'occupied' in the manner that Belgium or the Netherlands were occupied, I think that quiz takers would have a legitimate beef if I left it out. I purposely chose not to have it as the displayed answer but thought it best to include it as an option. |
