My apologies if I've missed your favorite movie monster. I tried to stick with one per movie/franchise (which was tough for things like Star Wars and Lord of the Rings that are full of them). Let me know if I've missed an obvious alternate answer.

I'd recommend adding Nosferatu for an alternate of Count Orlok and possibly accepting last names for those that have them, but that's just me. Great quiz though, and the inclusion of Sully made me laugh.

Zombies is a poor picture I think. I thought it was children of the corn.

@jgd2w- Actually, that's the original zombies from the original Night of the Living Dead. Added Nosferatu; last names are already there.

Zombies seems a bit of an odd one out because it's the only movie monster here that isn't specific to to a particular film or particular film series. It's more of a type of monster like vampire or werewolf rather than a character like the rest.

Good observation, dummo. I think that mummies, in general, could fall into that categorization too, but there are movie-specific mummies. If someone has a suggestion of a great movie monster I've missed and could substitute in place of the zombies, I'd be happy to consider it.

If you're going to accept just Jason, shouldn't you accept just Freddy too?

Shouldn't you accept Gozer along with the form that Ray chose for it?

am I the only person that guessed "Garthog" for "Rancor?" As in, "you must... narfle the garthog!"

i typed in "mr staypuft" and "mr stay puft" before i just did "marshmallow man." I also did "Mike Myers" for quickness' sake before switching it to "Michael". Additionally I like to program in common misspellings, like Orlock = Orlok, since that pretty fairly demonstrates that the player knows the answer...Also, i did the "movie scene horror edition and movie scene comedy edition" but the embed is pretty crude. how do you program the quiz to go like this, highlighting each image one-by-one?

Notable omissions (perhaps for a future quiz): Pinhead, Chucky, Bride of Frankenstein, Mothra, Rodan, Pumpkinhead, and maybe one the Puppet Master puppets (Blade or Leech Woman?)

@Junvo415- I hadn't considered "Mr. Stay Puft" but will surely add it along with "Mike Myers." Only the Sporcle site administrators can modify the quiz into this format, I don't have the ability (or technical know-how) to do that. @DaHumorist, I totally forgot Chucky- he might be a good substitute for the zombies.

If there's any worm you should put in, it should be the sandworms from Dune. Regardless, great quiz!

The worms from Tremors are called Graboids. Plus Michael Myers is also known as The Shape. Would be cool if you'd add that.

Technically, it's Frankenstein's monster. Dr. Frankenstein is the scientist who created the monster you have pictured. Really liked this quiz, though, especially the variety :)

Fair, enough, jrose, and you're absolutely right, but considering the popular use of just the good doctor's name, I'm going to stick with accepting both. Hopefully, displaying the full name will jog some people to remember it.

In fact, Nikkidemas, that's exactly why it isn't here. I tried a couple of different images, but it always just looked like a dark, unidentifiable mass in the pictures. Glad you liked the quiz! (Oh, and I've added "Gothmog" as an answer on the Balrog.)

Balrog? What is it? Is the picture bad? What movie is that? Gremlin threw me off too, it looks like a dragon or the dinosaur in Jurassic Park.

Norman Bates should have taken Psycho as an answer, and Ghostface should have been taken as Scream. Thats a double stack of Lamecakes with extra Weak sauce. Other than that, good one.

I don't know if it's a Sporcle thing, but a larger photo would have been nice. I couldn't figure out King Kong because of the teeny-tiny photo. Just a thought.
