Gueresiais, Jèrriais, and Sercquiais are the languages of the Channel islands, all derived from Norman and also known as Guernsey, Jersey, and Sark Norman/French, which I find easier to remember although technically not correct. (ie like using Gaelic for Gaidhlig, when Gaelic can refer to Gaidhlig, Gaeilge, or Manx/Gaelg. |
