At the beginning of the song, "in times of trouble... words of wisdom" suggests my interpretation: the words of wisdom in times of trouble are "let it be", i.e., 'don't stress about it; allow it to exist', which is best translated by "patere id esse". But "there will be an answer, let it be" is more amenable to the optative interpretation. I'm not sure which interpretation makes the most sense for this quiz, in that case. |
