| Britain is not the same as Great Britain. Great Britain is the name of the largest of the British Isles, consisting of England, Scotland and Wales. It can also be used to refer to the UK as a whole, but here it is used in the most accurate sense. Just "Britain" is too vague since it could refer to any of the British Isles; Great Britain, Ireland, Orkney, Shetland, Anglesey, the Channel Islands etc. |
