You probably shouldn't make us use the umlaut in Atatürk, and Ceau...Romanian guy was too hard as well, I think. Still, very good quiz!

de Gaulle led the Free French, not the resistance - they were quite distinct (the former was in London, and later Algiers; the latter were within France, and the relationship between them was always tense). Also "De Gaulle" should work.

I definitely agree that allowances should be made for accents and what not. It really consumes so much time, and adds a rather onerous and trivial element of difficulty to the quiz.
