	I cheated slightly by naming them out loud to myself before starting the timer, but to my surprise I was able to name them in about five seconds, so I guess I would've been okay regardless. Usually with this type of quiz I'm fumbling around for some perfectly obvious but forgotten (by me) country. (And as a devotee of country quizzes here at Sporcle, I would never forget Dominica, at least not once I'd remembered DR - they go hand in hand.)

	@WestSideDrew - when DRC was called Zaire, the Republic of Congo (the one whose capital is Brazzaville) was generally known as just Congo. So to call DRC just Congo would be even more confusing.

	Try a quiz of the 9 countries ending with a "d". Most would get the 8 "land" countries (Iceland, Ireland, Poland, etc..), but can you name the only country that ends with "d", but not "land"?

	Zak, it's probably because most Sporclers know about Dominica and don't like being accused of guessing something by fluke when they actually know the answer.

	For those who don't know, Sporcle convention is to accept DRC for Democratic Republic of the Congo and CAR for Central African Republic. "Rep Congo" is also usually accepted for Republic of the Congo.

	@Jeffhabfan - Yes, but not everyone who takes Sporcle quizzes is necessarily a "regular Sporcler". It's a pretty well known site and I'm sure there are plenty of non-regulars who drop in to play quizzes every now and then. Especially if it is on the front page. I was referring to those. I bet if I asked the average joe "name all the D countries you know of" they would think Dominican Republic and not necessarily Dominica, as with Niger.

	@Unabatter, unless you have an insane amount of luck, you have to type a lot more that six words to finish this quiz. The complaint is valid if you consider this a quiz site and not a typing site. I personally stay away from blitz and typing type quizzes for that very reason.

	Surely you either know of both Dominica and the Dominican Republic (if you know the carribean or are a regular sporcler) or else you haven't heard of either. I find it rather hard to believe anyone could have heard of one and not the other. It isn't entirely the same as Niger/Nigeria, since Nigeria is so well known and the Niger so little known, whereas both the dominica countries are about equally known I would say.
