| Thank you for your comments. I have allowed lion and leopard to be accepted as those are the common names for those species in Kenya. There is only one species of leopard and one lion in Africa, unlike hyenas, which there are four (brown, spotted, striped and aardwolf) and fox of which there are roughly a dozen. The bat-eared fox is never simply called a fox, nor are any of the hyenas, and therefore allowing fox or hyena would not be specific at all and very inaccurate. |
