| JaMarcus Russell lost his starting job midway through 2009. He was initially replaced by Bruce Gradkowski, who started 4 games, then by Charlie Frye, who started the last 3 games of the 2009 season for the Raiders. So when Campbell came in for the 2010 season, he was replacing Frye or Gradkowski, not Russell. Also, while Alex Smith initially replaced Rattay, he later lost the starting job to, at different times, Trent Dilfer, Shaun Hill, Chris Weinke, JT O'Sullivan, and Troy Smith, before regaining the job this year. So either the answer should be changed or you should make clear that you are talking about when they first became starting QB for their team. |
