| I noticed two trends in this list: Cities that have a lot of residents that would practice strict tithing to a church and large corporate cities where the presence of many large firms spurs on secular charity giving. Salt Lake City (Mormons), Greenville, SC (home of Bob Jones University), and Grand Rapids-Kalamazoo (a smaller and perhaps lesser thought of heavily Christian area in the North) didn't surprise me making this list. Despite the perception of "Minnesota Nice" (expanded to cover the entire Midwest), there just aren't as many Northern/Midwestern cities with large Bible-believing Christian populations that would be known for strict tithing, and for whatever reason perhaps the secular charitable giving in those cities with a larger corporate presence isn't as strong. It was an interesting quiz. |
