	How's Leftwich a bust? Sure, he's been average his whole career, which makes him a dissapointment, but far from a bust.

	Imagine how good the chargers would be now if they had gotten Peyton Manning instead of Leaf, granted they wouldn't have gotten the chance to draft Tomlinson later on because they'd have been better.

	I agree with deseanbutler about Leftwich. The Chargers never had a chance to get Manning. The Colts knew who they wanted and never considered Leaf. And thank you Oakland for picking Russell and making the pick of Akili Smith not the worst pick ever.

	Leftwich wasnt a career backup, he started in Jacksonville for several years. Also, the quiz wouldnt accept Grossman for me.

	Agreed that Leftwich shouldn't be considered a bust. He is far from a Ryan Leaf, etc. And just typing "Grossman" didn't give me him as an answer, had to type in his full name

	If being a "Ryan Leaf" was the requirement to be a bust there would only be one bust in the history of the NFL. Leftwich is far from Ryan Leaf but he's also far from the expectations of a QB drafted in the first round.

	I'm not sure why Grossman didn't work before, but I just tested it and it should work now. Leftwich is a very borderline candidate. He's certainly a dissapointment, but I'm not sure he qualifies as a true bust. I decided to put him on this list, but anyone who said Leftwich isn't a bust makes a valid point. (I believe he would still be the starter in Jacksonville today if not for all the injuries.) @timisballin5, Campbell is definately not a bust, he threw for 3600 yards last year. Yes, he hasn't led the Skins to the playoffs, and yes I know they went out and got Donovan McNabb, but that doesn't make him a bust. The one name I'm surprised that no one has mentioned is Alex Smith, I thought I'd take a lot of heat for not putting him on this list.

	So what if Leftwich might still be starting if not for injuries? Injury problems are a factor in bust-status just as much as poor play is.

	I agree with alpha. Alex Smith has shown nothing more than Byron Leftwich ever did. David Carr threw for 3500 yards, he had a year of 68% completion percentage. Just because the porous Texans line couldn't keep him upright and he had no weapons is no reason to deem him a bust. How much can you truly expect out of the first starter on an expansion team?

	Obviously not everyone is going to agree with who I put on this list and who I don't. Just as long as were all on the same page about Ryan Leaf. P.S. I was tempted to put Vinny Testaverde on this list, not because he's a bust, but because every Sporcle quiz seems to involve him.

	Why is that a stupid comment? Carr has a better passer rating, completion percentage, Y/A, Y/C and TD-Int ratio. And he did this while leading the league in worst offensive line.

	Well, I put Smith on the list, considering how the 2010 season has turned out for him. What's Krygyzstan? Anyways, I hope Stafford can stay healthy and not join this list, Harrington was hard enough on me but Stafford's got talent.

	I believe the game Longley played in was a Thanksgiving day game. And any QB bust list without Jamarcus Russell included is just wrong. Biggest bust in football at any position ever!!

	Would not, at all, call Leftwich a bust, wouldnt call Carr a bust, he was a good QB on an awfully bad team Also wouldnt call Ramsey a bust. Also why is there no Jeff George? And Grossman isnt a bust, to be a bust you have to be as bad as players like leaf and ware, grossmann has had far from a good carreer but his carreer isnt bust worthy....
