As usual, games are sorted by year but are not in chronological order, and some "obvious" titles have been saved for a sequel (this also serves to balance the difficulty). I hope you enjoyed playing it!

Anything like this happen to anyone else? I got 20 of them right, but of those 20, I had only played 8 of them. Kinda shows that the video game industry is doing a helluva job in marketing their stuff nowadays. I'm positive I couldn't pull that off during the 8-bit, 16-bit, and N64/Playstation eras. Awesome quiz!

csteve81: Funny that you say that... I've only played 9 of these games myself (and two of those were only AFTER I grabbed the footage from their respective games).

I own 19/30, and of the remaining 11, I am very familiar with all of them and have played and finished 4. The remaining 7, I have played 6 of. That just leaves (2006 #3), which coincidentally is the only one I missed. They say that games aren't what they used to be, but really, it's not so bad.

Any particular reason "The" gives you MGS4:GotP?

Yousername: Thanks! I found the problem: I typed two slashes by accident in that answer field, so it accepted anything Sporcle recognizes as an empty string for an answer, which includes articles like "the".

whoopitskristen: I considered that, but they are two separate games, and only the Wii version contains the powerups shown in the clip. I dunno, though... it's hard to tell how easily most people distinguish between the two. Anybody else have an opinion in either direction?

It would have been cute to put Fallout 3 after MSG4 so that David Hayter and Ron Perlman could disagree about whether or not war changes.
