	Of course official names are in the native languages, so some different versions may result from translations. I think the official Italian name of the Vatican is "Stato della Città del Vaticano", so "State of Vatican City" or "State of the City of Vatican" could be accepted as alternatives.

	I meant the English translations of the official names. I would add your suggestions except the source I was using didn't include those. If you have a source with those two names for the Vatican, I will gladly add them as alternative answers.

	Would have gotten them all if I hadn't kept misspelling the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya as the Great Arab Socialst People's Libyan Jamariyiah. But then again, can you blame me?

	While technically you are right that Vatican City is the capital of the Holy See, not an alternative name for the country, most people refer to it as the name of the country so I felt that it should count as a "common name." Besides, in the Sporcle country of the world quiz, Vatican City is what appears on the map.

	Vatican City & the Holy See are separate entities, one is not the official name of the other. The Holy See is the entity of the Catholic Church (a sovereign juridical entity under international law) while Vatican City is the country whose territory borders Italy. Both are ruled by the same government (& the Holy See conducts foreign affairs for the Vatican), but are technically separate entities. Note that the State Department distinguishes the Holy See as the Catholic community and the Vatican City State as the territory-occupying country showing that although listed together, they are separate things.
