| 1) "ketchup" and "silk" are both a bit speculative 2) lots of these actually didn't enter English from Mandarin, e.g. "nunchaku" is Japanese and only has the most tenuous connection to Mandarin, and "chop chop" and "dim sum" are from Cantonese; in fact "dim sum" is exactly how it's pronounced in Cantonese and it's a bit misleading for you to give Mandarin "dian xin" since it actually has a rather different connotation 3) @Kaleb it's irrelevant that (masala) chai isn't from China, the word indubitably is.
