Kind of odd that "Hyper Text Markup Language" isn't accepted for HTML seeing as that's what it stands for and the way you phrased the clue encourages the person to fill in the blanks with full words.

HTML isn't a programming language. PEARL is what you find in a clam (yes, there is a largely forgotten language by that name). And what on earth does "Mathematics??" have to do with C++?

There is also a programming language called "D" that would match "letter in the alphebet" (sic). Also "Mathematics??" surely is more likely to be Matlab or Prolog than C++

"letter in the alphabet" would match B, C, D, J, K, and other less popular (E, F, Y...) languages :)
