| Yes, there was the half sovereign, of course its been reduced to commemorative/bullion since the end of the Edwardian era, and yes there was the guinea coin, but it was replaced by the sovereign in the great recoinage of 1816 so I thought it was a bit unfair to put it on the quiz (although I did put the groat on there which hasn't been in active circulation since the early 1800s)
There are a lot of interesting older coins of "odd" denominations that no one living remembers in circulation (angel, fractional farthings, three halfpence, etc.) and I might create a quiz including those sometime in the future.
