Please provide a source or sources the list looks archaic and anachronistic. Most observers consider that Sylheti is a dialect of Bengali, not a separate language Similarly Urdu is a dialect of Hindi (or Hindustani). To be brutally honest South West Caribbean Creole is not even a dialect, but more accurately an accented version of English with some loan words. Giving it the status of a language is fantasy PC. You have omitted a number of European languages which are far much more prevalent in terms of residents in the UK, specifically Polish, French, Spanish, German and Russian.

These statistics look really dodgy to me. No source provided either.

Well, Urdu might be considered a separate language with Hindi, albeit closely related. It's a common practice having a political motive as well. And about the list...might need a little update considering the new immigration from Eastern Europe. Also Chinese should count for Cantonese.

when Polish, Romanian, Bulgarian and Spanish didn't show up i had to give up. It may be irrelavent to this quiz, but a lot of immigrants speak English as a first language. Like Irish, Australian immigrants etc.

Definitely surprised not to see English here given that Ireland, the USA, Canada, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand are among the largest contributors to the UK foreign-born population.
